Current Issue The Spring edition of Chrism is about Ageing and Caring, and begins with some down to earth advice on keeping healthy in later life from Dr Peter Tiplady, the retired Director of Public Health for North Cumbria. That is followed by an article from the Editor in which he compares other cultures’ view of old age with our own, and in the light of that asks what is an appropriate spirituality for the later stages of life. Then two carers, a doctor and a priest, tell their stories, giving moving accounts of what it means to be a carer, with all the emotional pain and other stresses and strains involved. Finally the Revd Dr Barbara Glasson, the Director of the ‘face2face’ project at Holy Rood House, tells of how this project helps those who have suffered abuse in earlier life to find healing.
